Lead Carpenter – Historic Renovations (Future Partner Opportunity)

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and execute residential remodeling projects through all phases: pre-construction, demolition, framing, mechanicals (MEPI), trim carpentry, and finishings.
- Follow and enforce safety rules and cleanliness on all jobsites, including fire safety, first aid readiness, dust control, and protective measures for client belongings.
- Interpret plans and specifications to determine required materials and workflow.
- Coordinate closely with the Superintendent or Project Manager to align scheduling, staffing, and daily work priorities.
- Execute skilled carpentry work with attention to accuracy and finish quality.
- Maintain clear documentation of project progress, time tracking, material use, and subcontractor performance.
- Communicate with clients professionally, ensuring a respectful and positive remodeling experience.
- Contribute to a “zero punch list” culture—ABP: Always Be Punching.
- Mentor apprentices and crew members through on-the-job training and uphold competency-based standards as outlined in our nationally registered apprenticeship program.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on carpentry and residential remodeling experience.
- Familiarity with local building codes and ability to communicate with inspectors.
- Ability to lead a small crew and inspect work from other trades.
- Comfort using construction management software and digital tools.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in diverse environmental conditions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience in historic renovation or preservation work.
- Credential through the Professional Remodeling Collective (LC-R™, GC-R™, or PM-R™).
- Journeyman or educator designation through a registered apprenticeship program.
